University Hospital Geelong & McKellar Centre Campus Master Planning

The University Hospital Geelong and McKellar Centre Masterplanning project delivers critical upgrades across surgical, recovery, and infrastructure areas, including new theatres and expanded facilities, all carefully staged within a live healthcare environment.

NCS is overseeing a comprehensive program of works, including new car park and civil upgrades, alongside the full refurbishment of the surgical and recovery floor. This encompasses recovery bays, support spaces, a hybrid CSSD, and administrative areas. The project also includes the staged expansion of two new operating theatres delivered via a modular extension, with internal fit-out works completed while the hospital remains fully operational, requiring precise coordination to maintain uninterrupted clinical services.

The team ensured that all technical, financial and strategic aspects were addressed comprehensively, where the final report was submitted and endorsed by the Executive Planning Team signifying its alignment with the project’s goals and objectives, and marking a key milestone in the project’s progress.
