Japara Narracan

Under Japara’s 11-site Significant Refurbishment Program – Phase 1, NCS delivered works at Narracan as a regional cluster. This project required careful planning to address both rural logistics and the complexities of operating in active aged care settings, with upgrades focused on improving internal amenity and external spaces while accommodating community-specific needs.

The facility underwent comprehensive refurbishment, including resident room and bathroom upgrades, communal area enhancements, and landscaping works. Given the regional location, the project also addressed specific challenges such as bushfire risk management, incorporating design solutions to ensure compliance and safety.

Upgrades improved safety and comfort, including bushfire risk mitigation measures tailored to regional needs. The refurbishment enhanced residents’ wellbeing and provided safer, more resilient environments supporting community confidence in aged care provision.

The upgrade at Narracan and has significantly enhanced the standard of living for residents in these regional communities.
